Gaby Basora is the celebrated creator of the Tucker label. In a short time Tucker has grown into a coveted and sought-after brand with infinite possibilities. Basora’s great attention to detail as well as impeccable fit and quality has made her a celebrated stylist. Her eye for color and pattern is par excellence. Having designed the first Tucker blouse for herself, Basora’s design sensibility has since become a standard for the modern woman. She is a respected industry expert, working with the Fashion Institute of Technology, the 92nd Street Y’s Fashion Camp, and the New York City Department of Economic Development. In 2011, Gaby Basora was elected into the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). In 2012 she was named to join the board of judges for FIT’s Future of Fashion senior show with fellow designers Diane von Furstenberg and Josie Natori. Basora is also involved in philanthropic endeavors, such as Bent On Learning and Free Arts; She will be running the ING New York City Marathon on behalf of the latter.
